Feel the pain: CHRC commissar-in-chief Jennifer Lynch tries to rally the troops by getting them to sing the Canadian Kangaroo Theme Song. (You may recognize it as a revamp of one of the most execrably saccharine tunes of the 70s--a decade replete with songs of that type.)

Feelings.

We care for your feelings.

Wanting to protect your feelings from hate.

Teardrops

Rolling down on your face,

Show tender-hearted feelings affronted by hate.

Feelings, devoted to your feelings.

We wish you all would shut your traps

And always be polite.

Feelings,

Woe-woe-woe, feelings,

Woe-woe-woe,

Feeling your feelings have been hurt.

Feelings, Tammy Farber’s feelings,

Mo Elmasry’s feelings; we feel the pain they feel.

Feelings, put feelings over freedom,

Our feeling's that we need ‘em

In order to feel fine.

Feelings,

Woe-woe-woe, feelings,

Woe-woe-woe feelings again and again.

Feelings…(repeat & fade).

Emphasis on the fade, one hopes.

I've always hated that song and remember that a Brazilian guy named Morris Albert inflicted it upon the world.

Scaramouche, your version is even more execrable than the original!

Well done!

Scaramouche! Are you psychic?

MUSKRAT LOVE is probably the next on my list of "worst execrable 70s crap songs". No matter who did it, it sucked.

A suggestion...

Wasn't Debbie Boone really young when she crooned to the globe for month after month after month after month that YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE.

Scarmouche, think of the potential that YOU LIGHT UP MY LIFE holds for you applied genius!

Please consider it.

Should you decide to proceed with your original execrable song, though, please be assured of my very best wishes for your success.
