It's a good thing: One consequence of revoking the censors' powers (if indeed the government gets on the ball and revokes them)--you likely won't be seeing any more photos like this one:

Richard Warman (recipient Saul Hayes Human Rights Award) with Cal Goldman, 2007 Plenary. (Ottawa, June 2007)

Whoever "Saul Hayes" was, I daresay he is spinning in his grave at this "award".

On second thought, this being the CJC, would he?

From the Ceej site:

"HAYES, Saul and Beatrice. - 1932-1983...
Biographical Sketch:

Born on May 28, 1906, Saul Hayes graduated in law from McGill University in 1932. He began working with the United Jewish Relief Agencies of Canada (UJRA) in 1938 and was director of the agency from 1940. In 1942 he became executive director of Canadian Jewish Congress, to which he was devoted even in his retirement years, until his death in 1980. During his tenure as director of CJC, Hayes was a representative of the United Jewry Delegations, Second Conference of UNRRA, 1944; the San Francisco Conference on International Security, 1945; and the Paris Conference on Peace Treaties, 1946."

Sounds to me like old Saul would have given it a hearty thumbs-up.
